October is shaping up to be a BIG month!

Happy to say that I have made the Main Stage (Acoustic) at this year's Black Bear Americana Music Festival set for October 7th-9th at the fairgrounds in Goshen, CT! I'll  be performing solo on Friday, Oct 7th (with Miles East accompanying me on percussion) at 1:30 on the big stage, then again at 3:45 on the Gazebo stage....I love this festival, great vibe and great performers (Martin Sexton, Sean Colvin, The Slambovians, etc)....And, there are great food trucks, camping is available, and awesome workshops helmed by performers...A really, really awesome event, I highly encourage you to come!

Fast forward to Thursday, October 27th, for an event that I have been planning for a few weeks and which I am happy to say is now confirmed: A Benefit for A Woman's Right To Choose, at the Towne Crier in Beacon, NY! This Benefit will be for four organizations that work for women's sexual healthcare and reproductive rights, They are the Center For Reproductive Rights, NARAL, The Brigid Alliance, and Planned Parenthood. The performers will be Cliff Eberhardt (!), Annalyse and Ryan, Deni Bonet, KJ Denhert, David Ray, and I, a great lineup if I do say so myself. And, our old friend John Platt, host of the Sunday Supper on WFUV, will MC the evening. The goal is to raise $10k to be distributed to those four non-profits, who all work to restore and protect the rights recently stripped away by the US Supreme Court. Hard work, but so, so important!
